Our work was started in 1980 by my Uncle Mr. Vijay Kumar. He started this work with a tyre puncture mending shop. At that time my father Mr. Sukhdev Singh JI was in the army. For some reason, my father left the army job and came to his village (Jaito, Faridkot), and after learning the work from my uncle bought automatic machines in 2011 and started with old tyres. He named the firm V.K.Tyre after his elder brother Mr. Vijay Kumar. Our father worked hard to move his work from puncture mending to a new direction. But on December 9, 2018, our father said goodbye to us forever. In those days, I worked as a taxi driver in Dubai and had come on holiday because of my cousin’s marriage. Due to the sudden death of my father, I did not return to Dubai and started doing business with my two brothers.

In 2019 I expanded my business to dealerships in Michelin, Yokohama, and Goodyear and with new machines and new structures but I was not satisfied and wanted to expand more.

Then I thought about why we should not start a new era, and I thought about starting an online tyre-selling e-commerce website. Because change is necessary with time, now we had some issues to face with this plan. Whom we should reach? What we should name this business and many more other questions. We named this platform www.1313tyre.com. Where tyres are sold at a margin of only Rs. 13 after doing a lot of searching, I met Atul Kumar, the director of Robin Spire, through a friend of mine, and after meeting him, in November 2020, we started evolving idea.
